Vanessa Amorosi Is Perfect Live

Vanessa Amorosi has embarked on her national tour, and she has proven that she still has what it takes to pull in a crowd, and show us all what a powerhouse she really is!
On June 28th, I was fortunate enough to attend the sold-out concert at Chelsea Heights Hotel, Victoria.  The concert had 3 support acts, Samantha Lombardi, Falling From Grace, and Good Fight, all of which were FANTASTIC acts, and well worth checking out!  When Vanessa came on, I turned around and realised there was barely room to move in the venue, so it was a fantastic turnout!
Surprisingly, Vanessa started the night with a cover of The Beatles' Come Together, before going into her own tracks.  Her amazing voice was evident from the start of even this track!  After this, she performed a number of tracks from her new album, Somewhere In The Real World, as well as her hits from previous albums.
When Vanessa performed tracks like Have A Look, Absolutely Everybody, and other well-known tracks, she made sure the audience wasn't left out, by putting her microphone out for us to sing into.  At one stage, she even gave the microphone to an audience member to sing along with her on his own.
During Absolutely Everybody, Vanessa even surprised the audience by coming down from the stage, walking to the middle of the floor, and standing on a table to sing the track, and even got the band to stop for a bit so we could all sing along LOUD!!!
During the night, she also performed a number of other covers, with one of her highlights being "Take Another Little Piece Of My Heart", which was one of the most well-received numbers of the night!  She also ended the night with a cover of "It's A Long Way To The Top" which, surprisingly, she pulled off rather well!
Of course, the biggest hit of the night was her latest single, "Perfect", which had the audience singing out loud.  Vanessa extended the outro to show off her voice even more, and this entire concert proved that she can hit all the notes on her tracks, and the scary thing is she made it look so easy!
If you go along to any of her concerts, make sure you hang around afterwards, as Vanessa will be hanging around to sign copies of her new cd, as well as pose for photos.  If you're a Vanessa fan, even if just for a few tracks, you will certainly love this night, and it will be one you will remember for a long time!
